    Hello everyone!

    I myself came up with a pretty new thing to Orcworm SMP.
    Since Orcworm have come to the conclusion of not having major and minor cities, i came of with this
    new kind of system.
    OK, let me just start explaining this madness:

    Currently we got 4 Warp plots added to new spawn, which is easly accessable and viewable. (just outside the walls of spawn point)
    (later we will add more underground, but these will be cheaper then the once on ground level.

    Ok, you MUST have these "Goals", to get access
    to the feautre of buying warp-plots.

    (also to mention this will be checked by myself, if you have accomplished these goals.)

    In order to get access to warp-plots you must have the following requirements/goals:

    1. You must atleast have 8 un-used plots out for sale
    2. The city must atleaste have 2 Consilours. (These two consilours must be logged in
    during City inspection)
    3. You must atleast have two active setlers in the town (with the two consilours there will be 4)
    4. You must atleast have some kind of a Cityhall, with rules and information.
    5. You must atleast have a Shop up and running
    6. You must atleast have a Public Netherportal
    7. You must atleast have a actuall Name for the city (no unnecessary names)

    The inspection Will cost XXX,- gil, so make sure your city have all the goals above.

    Also if the city gets pass the inspection at the first try, they will get XXX,- gil of the warp-price.


    And ofc this can be edited, its just a template, and i Want your answer, YES or NO?

    Yep, I like the idea, but this does need to be edited. For ex. I would have it so you only have to have 5 plots up for sale.

    NO, Official cities suck, they all go inactive, just let the noobs build their own. Let them rise and fall, don't need to make a 'city' program.

    ok then no more of them, then we sell the warpplots to random people to have for their homes.

    this is basicly made, so that there wont be so much inactive cities/towns etc

    and also they need to have the following blah blah, to register FOR BUYING warp plots.

    and if the city is totally inactive their spawn plot will dissapear. easy as that



    what im in basic telling here is that, either the warps will lead to somewhere else, like a town/temple/moon/school/whatever, or we dont have any warps at all.. there is no point in selling warps from private home use only

    Well, the whole idea here is to keep the towns active, and at a maximum amount, thats a very fair amount.

    To be completely honest Acheron was very good with everything. Abydos exactely the same, just less people active there, NFS Was almost abandon when i joined orcworm i think, and NFS Was underconstriction for a very long time. Oakhaven also seems pretty good.

    I think whats most important is to keep the town amount lowest possible.

    NFS is actually coming along quite nicely...and your second point about your city, that's why we shouldn't have Major Cities again, because smaller cities are just as competitive when it comes to selling plots.

    Instead of Cities we should have "Community Areas" where chests remain unlocked and people can build together in harmony.

    Cuz nobody really builds their house in a city

    I agree we shouldnt have major cities however this sounds like a good idea for all the other cities that will inevitably happen.

    just look at the difference between all the cities and mine. mine is decently sized and its differently shaped to the others. It has shop's, homes, farms of all kinds, and a social area to be in. If using any of the HD texture packs it makes Oakhaven look damn good along with the other 4 major cities. oh add not to mention i'm working on a garden area within the deluxe area. Razz

    not gonna lie, i like Acheron a lot, the same with Abydos

    I just cant get over the appeal of the less major (but still awesome) valenwyre as my main home though, its just so nice being able to build things in the city without massive FPS lag (as demonstrated when i built my Acheron and Spawn shops)

    I think we should just start the server and see how it goes. If people want to make cities, let them. Set a base price for the teleporters around spawn and people will buy them when they want to.

    ONtopic- I know that most noobie cities just them wanting to be like major cities so they can get rich quick and they have no idea how to run one I say let the cities that are doing well and have active players in them stay what they are. Honestly I don't mind rebuilding Oakhaven to make it look less square and more unique. But acheron and abydos already look badass on there own I would hate to see them not get shown off as much. In my opinion I say keep the "major cities" but they aren't different in any way. There for I propose a addition to the rules here about cities.
