    Teleporters and Waypoints

    Hi, after being barraged by questions on how to make a teleporter/waypoint, I decided to make a guide in more detail than the one on Minepedia
    First, you must make a waypoint.

    Waypoints
    A Waypoint functions as the exit of your teleporter. Once the waypoint is activated, the signature blocks may be taken out, but they may be useful in there.

    Materials: 17 identical tiered blocks, and 4 Signature blocks (Anything but Four Air)
    (Un-tiered blocks are Air, grass, snow, dirt, sign, clean stone)
    Make the shape with your 17 tiered blocks. Then put your signature in the signature slots (noted on image). Then you must activate the rune. (Explained Below)

    Teleporters
    Teleporters are the entrances of the waypoint. The signature blocks will be consumed on activation, and then can be replaced with tier 0 blocks. If the blocks that make up the waypoint a higher tier than your teleporter blocks, You must put a block that matches the tier of the waypoint in the KEY section. The key isn't necessary, and can be replaced by a tier 0 block.

    Materials: 16 Identical Tiered blocks, the same signature blocks as the waypoint, optional key.
    Make the teleporter with your tiered blocks and signature and then activate it. Signature blocks will be consumed. These spaces may be filled in. TO use you must right click the center of the rune. If there is an active waypoint with the same signature, the teleporter will take you to the waypoint.

    Activation
    To activate a rune, any rune, you must right click the center block (even if there is nothing there) with an empty hand or a tool. Some runes may consume your blocks or require a specific item to activate.
    For example, on this teleporter, I would right-click the cross.

    Personal Teleporters
    A Personal teleporter is a one-time-use rune that will take you to any waypoint.

    Materials: 4 Redstone Torches, 4 Signature Blocks, Optional Key.
    Make the PT and put in the signature of the waypoint. Activate it and it will take you to the waypoint.

    Two-Way Teleporters
    Two way Teleporters save much more space than making a separate way point and teleporter. To make one, simply place a a waypoint at your entrance and exit and place teleporters on top on them, using opposite signature patterns. If you use the teleporter, it'll take you the first sign of space above the waypoint.

    Excellent guide. Do you know if the center block taking up the space of the oPtional key block has to be the same as the rest if the material, or can it be different?

    But that's it? Doesn't have to be identical? The idea is to not lose track of the correct block in the floor...

    Yes rulyon, it has to be tier 0. If not, the teleporter will be broken. The only exception is if you built the waypoint out of a higher tier material. Then you need to use a keystone to activate the teleporter, however you will have to place it every time you use the teleporter.

    Using different tier 0 materials should work Smile

    Thank you! That's the answer I was hoping for! I already knew it had to be tier 0, I didn't even ask that. Don't know why that answer was given. more than once -.-

    Eekrunes is glitched for my account. After I create a rune I have to wait until next restart to use it. Didn't want to try it, wait 24 hours, find I BROKE the rune, then wait another 24 hours after fixing it before I could use it again.

    I call it covering all the bases. If you did not know about the keystones before, now you would have Smile

    We are not using Eekrunes btw, as runecraft was updated for use with Bukkit. The bug you're talking about can be quite annoying, and I have found it to appear every time I relog due to invisibility. So, as long as you dont relog, you should not have trouble testing.

    Oh, that's riiiight! Forgot it had been changed back tO Runecraft. Far superior!

    That means that the teleporter doesn't have a connected signature, try rebuilding the signature on both the teleporter and the waypoint to fix this problem. If the problem persists, then the next time you're online with me, I can help you out.

    My rune isnt working. it doesnt say anything. thats the prob. nothing at all. some ppl came to help me and they said it should work. l:L need help D:

    Ok i kind of got it working. It just says No Specified Destnation Very Happy just got the match thoose sinatures! but idk what teh difference is in the runes D:

    Seaninja if you are still having problems and for some reason the sinatures don't want to work, try breaking both runes and start from the beginning again, this happens every now and then

    If you have a block like a pumpkin, where one side is different than the rest, it doesn't matter which way the pumpkin face is facing so long as the signature block that is northwards is north on both the teleporter and the waypoint, likewise with the east, west, and south signatures.

    hmm so in origin i can place 4 different signature bloks in one waypoint rune and then in portal rune i have to put same 4 signature bloks and align them same way like in waypoint rune and it should work ? Gonna go test it
