    Had no idea what this was (I'm from the UK).. Quick google shows its similar to our "BARB" test, which I've done myself!

    Preliminary test in Navy recruitment office to determine which jobs within the Navy he's intelligent enough to qualify for. I myself earned an 88 in the preliminary... meaning if I wanted to I could have been a Nuclear Engineer. Then I was disqualified for service due to my medical record. :-(

    Note: I specified Navy because that's the recruitment station I went to. I believe all branches of the US military use it, however.

    you too hmm? i was all set to be a nuclear electronics technition till they decided i was color blind. Now I serve proudly in the Air Force

    btw asvab easy as pie, no need to worry. I took it with 2hrs of sleep under my belt and got an 89

    It mostly measures your intelligence and ability to learn. Don't want dumbasses in charge of a nuclear reactor.

    I wasn't colorblind, but I'm flat-footed, have had employment-related knee and back injuries, and my vision is 20/615. In other words, I'm damaged goods. Air Force wouldn't even take me.

    Got a 43 :/ i needed at least a 45 but its cool because i did really good on everything except english and i got Gunner's Mate open Very Happy its what i wanted Smile
