My house is made of mostly ice and it gets annoying trying to light it. Is there any plugin or code manipulation possible to make it so light sources don't melt ice?

The only way I know of is to keep the light source 3 blocks away from any block that can be melted, not easy but manageable.

This is an uneducated guess: Redstone torches, maybe?
I mean, they barely produce light, but they glow nicely in the dark.
Have you tried those? I don't think they melt ice?

So yeah...Minecraft Wiki wrote:Ice will melt into water under level 12 lighting conditions, but only if the light source is a block. Sunlight will not melt ice. Torches cannot be placed on ice directly.

Yeah but is there any mod that changes ice's properties? Also redstone torches are kind of a waste of a lightsource imho
