Minecraft Fix for Linux Empty Minecraft Fix for Linux

Well, I guessed this was the best place to do it, so... Yeah, a friend of mine made a script that fixes pretty much all the MC problems on Linux... Here's the link to the video and to the download.

This is a copy paste from part of the description:

    The bugs this fixes:
    1. You lose sound when switching windows
    2. Sounds will often cut each other off instead of overlapping.
    3. The game will often crash on exit.
    4. The keys (w, a, s, d, and space) will become stuck in the on position. This is really inconvenient when building things up high (you walk off a building) or when fighting a creeper (you run right into it).
    5. It also generally improves performance.

So yeah... Enjoy! (If you have any question, ask right away; he's like my bestest friend on the interwebz. ^_^)

Does he have a page for this on minecraftforums? If not he should.

I just took a look at the script, and looks very well put together. I plan on giving it a try later today if I have time.

    Thanks for the link!

    No problem mate. Wink

(Oops... The video was for something else... lol. But anyways, it's pretty self-explanatory, just run it on terminal and choose the correct path; after that... voilà.) [It's not "ready for release", he got mad at me... Razz but it works perfectly for me, at least.]

I am running Ubuntu 10.04 and the only problems that I have are #4 and a weird mouse glitch that only happens when not full screened, I find that MC runs better in Ubuntu than it does in Win7.

I can confirm #3 and #4 are definitely fixed for me under Ubuntu 10.10
