I am thinking of making a glass shop. It would sell.... GLASS. at the moment I have 512 glass although I am planning on building my house with those. I might also sell some other things but I'm not sure what. What would be a good price to sell glass for? It's a nice building material, even though the starndard skin on it is a bit ugly. I might sell iron ingots or other stuff that is smelted.

Great idea, but a house for only glasses would be wasted space, so you should just start collecting, and compete in the sale competition!

Rare items like Iron - Diamond or Obsidian and such would I mostly suggest, but other smelted items is also good. (Maybe some resources like coal too, so they wont have to search for the smelting items) Smile!

I don't know what you should set the price to though, maybe someone else could tell you more about that. Smile

I hope you will make this shop, sounds great!

I dont entirely like the iconomy at the moment, if a crash were to occur, theres a chance of it not keeping the amounts and end up resetting. Hopefully v2 will correct this issue by saving it directly to the harddrive every few minutes.

So personally, because it tends to reset every so often, I recommend exchanging the money for actual blocks, which you might actually be able to make a profit on. But thats just my opinion.

That has been happening a lot recently >_>.
The only thing is, V2 currently only supports /money and /shop, hardly an upgrade.

I have made my shop in the Breezy Sky in a land far far away from spawn above the cloads. I sell and buy glass, sell a bunch of wood planks for putting doors on, a bunch for forges if people want to put them in their home for private use, even though there are a line of about 26 forges outside the lobby of the town. Just because, I have over 3000 cobblestone also for sale in my shop, which is in my general store as well as just outside the west gate of spawn city, in case someone wants any cobblestone...

Well, if you're having trouble collecting the Gil to get it zoned, there's always this option...

You could of-course start merchanting though.
Bid on low auctions, and wait a few minutes, then start a new auction with the same item and quantity, but 1/3 price higher - 2/2 price higher.

I made around 7'000 in 2-3 hours with that.
