To make an efficient, convenient tree farm, just follow this guide.

Can you add about the specifics of different kinds of trees? Like... yield wise?

Oaks can yield over a stack of logs from a huge tree, Birch trees yield a maximum of 7 logs, and I don' t know about pine trees.

Instead of one strategy, how about including multiple strategies for different trees?

Don't plant normal saplings. They can turn into massive trees that are impossible to cut down. Use either of the newer saplings instead.

There is truth to this. HOWEVER, you can stop the big trees from growing by putting a roof over the tree. High enough for it to grow, low enough for it to not grow big.

You can still get oak logs for other assorted projects this way.

Actually, I haven't tested with other trees, like birch or evergreens. If I had to choose between the two, I would chose the birch trees over all others. They are relatively small, and are the easiest to cut down, while supplying a decent amount of wood.

EDIT: Birch trees don't seem to be growing as quickly as normal trees, making normal trees the more practical choice, in my opinion.

I like pine trees because you can get a lot of wood from one tree and it is in one straight shot not odd branches you have to dig for. Being a donator I just compass to the top go through the one layer of leafs and go straight down
