my arena, input please.

I have spent the past few days clearing out an area,with help from a few people. It is about 50 X 50. It has a basement about 10 blocks high. I plan to put at least 4 different arenas inside. The thing is that I don't normally go out to kill people.

As such, I would like some input from people who would be interested in using this area. If you look at the spoiler pic below you'll see a rough draft for that I would like to do. The top left pic is a room with reeds/sugar cane through out, making it difficult to see other players(in theory). The top right is a nether biome setting. The bottom left is a snow biome, complete with ice, and water(if I could find the block in the MC structure><) And the bottom right one would be a room with soul sand placed through out. Each room would have somewhat poor light. In theory I could divide each arena into 4 other arenas. making for somewhat smaller rooms.

Up above all these rooms I could place a rather large maze, maybe make it multiple levels. and players could walk through it in hopes of finding other players, or just crossing to the other side.


So please provide input and any thoughts you may have on the subject.

Very intriguing idea, I must admit.

I really like the idea of a maze, especially with pitfalls, booby traps, etc. Just throwing out a few ideas. Granted, I may never use it (there is absolutely nothing worth gaining in PvP as the risk of losing 1.5k supercedes what people have on em) but it's still cool in theory.

My first thought... Pokemon!! =D Looks good.

Lol I considered doing a large stadium for FFA/team battles up above, but I realized that I don't have enough skill to build something like that . So rather than waste time failing, I'll probably do that maze ^_^

Update:

After working on it, with some wonderful input and help from sanwi, this is what I have done for now. Please give me input as to what you think about the stages. Pose anyquestions, and point out things you like, don't like, and would like to see if possible.

This is the nether stage.


It features long walls with fire on top. If you aren't careful you can be burned.






This is the desert stage. Each of the four buildings have [lift] signs that bring you from the sand level to the 2nd floor. Trying to get down though will cause a half heart of damage.

suggestions for your arena xbot? i like how the desert one has more than 1 level, consider that with the other arenas.
and really... why hasn't filmjolk's pvp arena been put in this new map... that place was truely amazing.

The texture pack is deku. Light version I think.
