Help me for getting started

Hi, I started playing terraria just a week ago and now I want to try multiplayer. But, after checking a little I couldnt find any guides or server rules for Terraria. Just tell me if there is any or just give me some tips for beginners

With the state Terraria's in as far as server management goes I wouldn't worry too much about rules, just don't be a prick to the other people on the server and you'll be fine. There's usually a new map to play with every few days thanks to special children and their griefing clients anyway.
