The idea, whilst good in prospect, divebombed - so I don't think we'll be doing that again come Minecraft's release.

Let's look into this a bit deeper?
Ecco had lazy ass councilors, apart from MiniLink who soon left for whatever reasons.
NFS was rushed with WE and was the first town to appear but sadly wasn't prepared.
Acheron is the success story.
Abydos we were down to two councilors from the start, and soon i was doing it alone. We didn't use any WE unlike many other cities so it took a long time. Due to this, minors had taken up most people's interest, and the project was "forgotten" until recently OnlineRocker has offered to revive it on my behalf.

I'm suggesting we let players do whatever the fuck they want, they do that whether we try to enforce rules or not anyway.

I think "New Orcshire" (is it still called that?) could work well as a residential major city in addition to having all the shops and things. If the new spawn city was even bigger with a nice neat residential area outside whatever's going in the middle, you could have a good densely populated area instead of a thousand ghost towns

orc just wondering if i just bought a spawn plot will iget one of thebetter ones in the new spawn (btw i like having small spawn cos it makes trying to get a plot hard and when youget it you feel like you have acolmplished something

It was a good system, but implemented badly. if done correctly, it stops the whole "fuck i cant walk across the map or build without running into a shitty little city" thing. it was mostly due to councilor error, it wasn't all the councilors but some were awful (rykleos) and some were too lazy (freed, pure).Orcworm wrote:I'm suggesting we let players do whatever the fuck they want, they do that whether we try to enforce rules or not anyway.
minor little faults brought the system down, and if done right would be wonderful. how is flattening land, then selling it to other people make sense if theres no real community of the area? it would just be a cheap way to earn some money at the cost of others.
