    Anti-griefing precaution Empty Anti-griefing precaution

I have a suggestion for the server against people that do things against the rules:
When people spawn for the first time, they appear in a building with a lot of signs where the rules are written down. Between those signs, somewhere not too obvious,
there is written: password: (password). Until they told the password to any admin or moderator, they are not able to build/destroy. (this will motivate people to read the rules)
This might limit the amount of grief problems on the server.

Might be quite annoying for EVERYONE to do this, staff might not be on when they are. How would they get out?

    Last map I beileive.
No one is digging throguth THAT.

We have this on Terraria, and all it does is increase the leve of noobs screaming "OMG LEMME OOT!!!!1111!!!".
For a Minecraft server whose population if a power of that, all bets are off.

Minecraft is 3D and full of noobs...

Anyway, I personally don't like it, so I don't plan on enforcing it.

Breaking a honeypotted block would get you auto-banned, problem with that being block glitches so we end up with legitimate players being banned for breaking grass and whatnot.

if there is a plugin where they can automatically type in the password to get building permissions, then i can't see why this would be a problem, but if staff need to promote the people manually, that would be more trouble than it's worth.

If it's possible, make an area where guests can build (and are possibly trapped) and then the area for everyone else, or fragment it further.
