    Post by MikeChild 2011-03-03, 23:58

i've tried everything i normally try and ever since he went to the newest version of the game, ive just been spammed with lag and chunk errors, when i log in i just fall for about a minute straight it might not sound like a long time but it is when ur just sitting there falling for 60 seconds, then it loads about a 100x100 chunk and nothing else everything is just blue sky, then i relog and it loads all the map but it lags retardedly, so massive thats its actually unplayable, unless i wanna chop down a 4 log high tree and wait (literally no exaggeration) 12 minutes. its unbearable ive tried re-forwarding my ports, checking internet ping *its fine* and minecraft itself is fine as well since i checked another server and it runs fantasticly but in game when i asked someone said they were not lagging, so what could my problem be?

The minecraft forums show hundreds of reports stating similar issues, other servers seem to have been hit with intense block lag. Overall 1.3 introduced a lot of crap in general.

    Oh... ahem. <cough>

I believe I've stated before how I DESPISE Google. I'd rather get my information from a living, breathing person.

Edit: My highest ping was 316, with an average of about 205 once it left the USA.

Actually, that site seems to be pretty inaccurate. Probably because it's sending a traceroute from it's server rather than your home PC.

    Open Command Prompt and type:

    tracert orcworm.co.uk

I'm getting 15-30ms which is about right from England - Germany.

No, -I- censored it so the IP addresses leading to my home aren't out on the internet for everyone to see. Considering this is a public forum, not a wise idea to post it all, you know?

So i matched my tracert with one of my friends (Number255) and we have about the same pings, and that when i break something on my screen he see's me brake it immediately, but he then said he was going to log off, then said he did and we were continuing a convo through skype and i could still see him walking around for 4 minutes lmao we timed it. then he opened his server and i was lagging there too, but when we both reverted to 1.2 again i had absolutely 0 lag everything worked 100%. so i fear i will not be able to play at all during this patch Sad
