I got Black because of some version exclusive pokemon. Haven't gotten that far yet. Just recovered the dragon head and entered the (first?) major city.
Oh, and though I don't know how much it will matter with all the online play crap they added in this gen: flashcard FTW.

I'm currently about to face the first gym and i just got the grass monkey (Pansage) but i heard all 3 monkeys suck no matter which one you get.

Yeah the monkey's arent that great. And their evolution requires a Stone so that's a complete waste. What's your starter? Smuglord/Snivy here.

That's just nostalgia talking Orc. Although I'll admit the designs of the new mons are... uninspired at best, the actual gameplay has never been better.

No numbnuts, he was asking himself why Mewtwo (#150) is listed BEFORE Mew (#151) in the national pokedex despite being a clone.
The answer is simple: the pokedex is an encyclopedia and as such the numbers are arbitrary and not bound to any form of logic. Take for example the Pikachu line with Pichu (#172), Pikachu (#25) and Raichu (#26). Clearly the numbers mean shit.
