Underwater Utopia; Yay or Nay?
So I was playing Bioshock and the idea dawned on me: should I create an underwater city in Orc's server akin to Rapture? I pitched the idea here to see if people like/dislike the concept.

Re: Underwater Utopia; Yay or Nay?
Oh, I'll certainly put effort into it if I decide to do it. It's just an idea at the moment but I plan on going somewhere with this. My major concern: if it's underwater, would there be available resources? Afterall, I plan to make the city rest at or near bedrock level. Without proper resources, the appeal for people to join it goes kaput.

It's hard enought to build a city underwater. But at bedrock? You'll have death notice spams.

Death notice spams? Not quite sure what you mean by that.

Re: Underwater Utopia; Yay or Nay?
I'd need to get the layout of the project itself. That alone will take a while. :/ However, that sounds just like what I want; the availability of resources while in a pristine environment. Maybe this can go somewhere after all...

Isn't there some way to buy your land so others cannot damage it? Also, Grief- err, Creepers don't blow up blocks on this server. That being said: how did your underwater city sustain damage? If it was SP, how did it get damaged?

Re: Underwater Utopia; Yay or Nay?
A) How much does zoning cost? B) I plan to use reeds as an anti-water barrier whilst working. However, I see your point. I'll see how double reinforcing they city would appear. If it doesn't look too bad, I'll do it.

Re: Underwater Utopia; Yay or Nay?
I think I can picture it. I want to make the city itself rest around bedrock and perhaps branch out from there.

Yeah. Similar to that. Not sure how it'll all go down. Still have a LOT to consider.skoglol wrote:You mean something like this? [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
