    my laptop WAS top of the range when i first got it 4-5 years ago (i refuse to let it go cos unfortunatly i have an emotional bond with it) ... it currently runs on 2038mb of ram (from my understanding thats about 1.538gb) ... and i have no idea what the graphic is ...

    I don't know much about upgrading laptops, and the laptop's specs, but I suppose you could get a new graphic card, if you have a shitty one at the moment. But if it works fine, please choose ram. Maybe 4 GB ram could be awesome for your laptop. At least you wouldn't have problem with Minecraft, unless you have a real shitty processor and graphic card.

    2GB (1GB is 1024MB or 1000MB depending on whether you ask a salesclerk or not) is enough for most tasks.
    What are you planning to do with it?

    Considering in a previous thread you said it ran fine until the service center stole your RAM card, seems to me that buying RAM would probably solve any issues you're currently having.

    Are you even sure you can upgrade the videocard of your laptop? Most of them are integrated on the mobo.

    Most laptops have video cards that are PART of the Motherboard, rather than merely plug in to it.

    The only problem is the price and actually getting one.

    1Gib == 1024Mib

    1Gb == 1000Mb

    1GB == 1000MB

    Yes, the person (people) who decided that were a bunch of stoners.

    Also, I have a really crappy computer, yet I can do pretty much anything... You just need to make it work correctly. (Step 1.- Take out Windows.)
