As soon as I can log in, I'll start cooking sand (I really don't get how cooking sand makes glass. :/)

It actually makes perfect sense lizard as (a type of) sand is one of the key ingredients in making glass.

That I know, but if one were to stick sand in a stove, I'd assume it'd clog the stove. :S

same could be said from cobblestone smelting. If the temperature in the stove is high enough to smelt cobblestone into refined stone, then why doesn't the stove (which is made from cobble) smelt too?
