agreed, Knut had a brain disease. Can't really tell what it was, maybe it was even cancer. Poor Knut :O
Also there are other Polar Bears in the Berlin Zoo, did they die because of the temperature? I think not.

he had a serious brain damage, caused by his unnatural way of living. He tried to copy humans and stuff. I remember some doctor saying they bred a sad psychopath there

Twas to be expected. His mother abandoned him, they don't do that for no reason. But human sentimentality (OMIGOSHCUTE) had to mess with nature again...
