Sporadic Downtime: March 28

Per Orc's approval, Monday, March 28 the server will sporadically go down and back up starting at 1 PM GMT. I will be creating a how-to video on restarting the server, as we have a number of people with authorization but insufficient training in doing so. It is anticipated that the downtime will be over by 1:30 PM GMT. I will update this announcement when I start the process, as well as when it is finished.

Or We can do this, everyone who doesn't know how can GTFO. And it better have commentary I've always wanted to hear your voice becuase I imagine everyone elses voice form here sounds like salad fingers.

Just to let you know Rulyon, the command that should be used to start the server is ./start.sh rather than java -d64 -X...

So it changed? Does that replace the entire string, or just the first chunk?

Also, the period in front of the slash command... Is it neccesary or force of habit from telling newbies Commands in game?

Of course it will commentary. It would't be a "How to" video if someone wasn't telling you how to do it. But since you're not on Orc's list you still won't be hearing it, so I guess I'm still Mr. Fulton Saladfingers to you.

Yeah, I felt like a total dumb ass when I did that. Only redemption was that I managed to grab the ladder before becoming a greasy smear. Then I told wolf about the creeper and he just kept going down. BOOM. Dumb assery topped.

Yes, the period is required. ./start.sh replaces the whole line you'd usually type, I'm only using that because it's quicker to type now I've added more commandline flags.

Circumstances beyond my control delayed the server downtime. It will commence now. I'll post another update when the downtime is finished. Remember, it may go up and come down again sporadically until recording is complete.

I've been using the terminal for the past three months and only just discovered copy + paste...

Recording complete. The server should be online and fully functional now. As this is past information, LOCKED. Will be ARCHIVED in 24 hours.
