Decimals in Auctions/ Money

Are decimals from a new plugin or something? They seem kind of pointless and annoying. (ie when people bid auctions by going 0.01 gil over each other.)

Also nobody follows the two decimal rule anyway. If it could be kept to round numbers, that would be sweet. Then youd have to bid at least 1 whole gil above the other guy to get something.

The iConomy developer thought it would be a grand idea to introduce this in around version 4.5... with no variable to either enable or disable it in the config.

And thats why I prefer shops. Less buggy, less exploitable.

Tell me about it. I've had customers tell me that they only got 128 reeds when I sold 200,probably because of full inventory.

And also ive sold things, had noone bid on them, and never got them back.

But the auction is pretty useful, have to give the maker credit for that. Why he thought to include decimals and not have an off option for that feature is beyond logic or reason, though.

The great thing is that auction was included with iConomy in version 2.0 - From then on the dev. re-made the plugin three times and removed features as she went. We're currently using an auction plugin that was developed up to Bukkit #406...

Looks like this problem can only ever be solved by the plugin makers, then.

But as a stopgap solution, maybe we could change the rule to no decimals instead of 2 decimals? Of course the problem is that nobody follows the rule anyway, so it wouldn't make a difference, but might as well try.

I think a little harsher punishment wouldn't go amiss either.

I usually don't pull dick moves like /auction b .1 I'll usually do 1gil because its just useless spam like /auction b 1.0001343 stuff like that pisses me off. But I can control my temper and not whine about it.
