It's kind of hard to ignore them when i am constantly killed inside of my own home. To make matters worse, I didn't do anything to provoke them. I accidently built close to them, then pvp'd a member of their "team". After killing her, however, I gave everything back and more, and I thought we had made peace. Apparently I was wrong.

Well this is severely impacting my gameplay, and unless this is worked out, which doesn't look like it will happen anytime soon, I won't be back.

If we break any rules, right?

Mike builds his base 10 blocks from ours, 3000 blocks from spawn. We told him we didn't want him here, especially not after he griefed into our base and killed someone there. (yes, griefed, as in built a tunnel into our base and then tried to kill anyone inside.)

This is a PVP server. If somebody can't build a secure house, that's their fault. If they don't lock their chests, the stuff can be stolen.

I've been on the server 3 months and have never broken a rule. PVPing is not breaking any rules. If they can't take getting PVPed, they shouldn't be on a PVP server. Mike was bragging about having his friend Sieve tp kill me....until he gets killed himself, and then suddenly PVPing isnt allowed. Mike is allowed to kill YOU all he wants, but boy, if you kill him back, now its not allowed suddenly.

First of all vesp, my house is about 150 blocks away from yours, and I didn't know it was even there. Second, YOU built the wall close to my house, which is about 10 blocks away, not me. And third, how the hell was i supposed to know that a cave was someone's home? I came in, killed one person, and then later returned everything and more. What's the problem here?

at no point (in my opinion) is pvp bannable in a pvp server, if i am wrong correct me.

lizard I'd recommend letting them duke it off until it is resolved, because currently at no point is this resolved in any means. It's an arguement because the issue isn't resolved.
unless u can tell me how it is.

Mainly because I resolved this issue with the one afflicted by Mike's actions and Mike. The rest decided to go apeshit on him even after both agreed to let it go (I forget the person whom he killed, as it was irrelevant at the time). Also, it's not for the PvP, it is for the constant bickering over a done issue.

tl;dr: Both sides need to stay away from each other and just coexist in the server.

Mike has griefed into our base and killed at least 4 of our members.

It's a PVP server. If you piss someone off, they might kill you. If you repeatedly piss them off and ignore them telling you to go away, they might kill you a lot.

Killing someone in their house= not against rules.

Stealing from unlocked chests= not against rules.

The rules don't change because somebody can't handle PVP in a PVP server.

No, Vespasian; you've mainly lost the rule of "No Griefing", since you're constantly harassing people. Also; I dislike you, just pointing that out.

I dislike you too, Pete. Secondly, I'd like to see where in the rules that "griefing" is defined as "harassing" people. Devan, Tangy and cowwface were notorious for spouting profanity at anyone and everyone, but that isn't against the rules. Unless they spam with caps lock or something, but thats obviously different.

I like how PVPing people is not called "harassment" if they're too fragile to deal with it. If you can't deal with getting PVP, either A. Don't play in a PVP server, B. don't piss a ton of people off, or C. Lock your door from time to time?

I never grief to get into people's bases, but if they leave their doors open and/or chests unlocked, it's their own fault.

    And so, locked.

If any "harassment" goes on, take a screenshot, we'll cross-check with logs, and take appropriate action.

Minecraft is a game, games are intended to be fun, harassment is not.

A griefer is a player in a multiplayer video game that purposely irritates and harasses other players.
    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Griefing

griefers - differ from typical players in that they do not play the game in order to achieve objectives defined by the game world. Instead, they seek to harass other players, causing grief. In particular, they may use tools such as stalking, hurling insults, and exploiting unintended game mechanics. ...

So... Since that's settled down; I'd like to point out the ammount of players that consider you harass them; not only for repeatedly searching for them just to kill them (which isn't PvP as in a fight, but it's more like following someone just for them to get killed), but also for constant insulting and pointless rageing towards a particular person for no reason whatsoever.

Good find. I think we should insert this in the rules thread.

EDIT: We don't have a rules thread, brb, making a rules thread.

I only made forum rules. Also, I'm pretty sure everyone can use google... Should we also define what a "block" is in the rules?
