    Another amazing peice of Art, well Filler, we were thinking that it would be yes, 2 stargates, you go in one out the other, but the design of the entire thing would be a long tube, with water flowing arund the minecart. So you would enter the stargate, be going through for about 5 seconds, with water flowing around you, maybe flashing redstone aswell and come out the other end, having come out of a foresty/grassy enviroment, into, the desert of Abydos.

    The location would be the hills to the oposite side at which the town hall is at, and where the entrance will be.

    Further: what materials will we need? We decided on stationary water for the portal, but what about the gate itself? Iron blocks?

    Hmmm...

    It MIGHT be better with only one entrance/exit...

    But, New Orcshire has 4 exits, so I'm a bit torn as to what to do.

    Keep in mind: yes, I do think there should only be ONE entrance to each city, for non-citizens, but keep in mind that we're in a desert biome and thus, some resources are quite limited, particularly trees.

    Tbh, I quite like the idea of keeping the teleporters on the downlow, with the railroad being the main way of transportation, I mean, if everyone used teleportes, noone would get to see our stargate :p and the guys have put alot of work into it, no point in wasting it and using teleporters.

    Also, Gamer, we will have more than one citizen...

    Solution:

    Teleporters JUST outside the perimeter (1/cardinal direction, maybe) that leads just inside the city. That way, they can return to the city if they went out gathering supplies without getting wrecked by mobs while they go around the walls to re-enter the city.

    Solution: No teleporters between the cities at all as agreed upon. That's what the railroads are for. The current teleporters are just for fast-travel during construction.

    Regardless, the tp idea was just an idea. I GUESS we could build a tree farm underground or something for the cool kids (ty for the correction, Dannnnn. :3) that don't have access to trees in Abydos.

    Yes, you need to downgrade to 1.4.1 if they can afford a plot they can afford saplings and bone meal...

    With the space you have you can make a dirt thing over the whirlpool with trees and cactus farming and let all the city people harvest.

    I like the tube-water-railroad-idea. You really should use that. That picture was just to give you an impression of how a Gate could look in MC. The tube one probably shouldn't get bigger than 10x10.

    Hmm yeah short and sweet I guess, I think Dan wanted to interpret a fall in tr tracks where you come out of the "stargate" and fall into an oasis type water hole. I myself really like the idea what about you guys?

    I say we shouldn't be overly extravagant... yet. We can do fancy stuff AFTER we get people moving in; for right now, we need to focus on the things that NEED to be in place first.

    Sounds good, I also have ideas for alliance / warfare next to the town hall..

    Don't be discouraged if I haven't explained well but if we have pyramids made of each towns "theme" like for Acheron it'll be out of wood and we can create a "flag" out of fences possibly with either White wool meaning at peace/allience and red for at war?

    Whatcha think?

    We should include some pyramids somewhere, since it's egypyion based and all? But like people said we should not "over use" pyramids.

    I like the idea of flag colors for alliances/enemies.Maybe, for example, we could use some item to represent each.

    e.g.
    Ach: Sapling
    Frost: Snow block
    Ecce: dirt.

    Then have the flag color in wool of our current relationship with each.

    Where/how can we represent it? Possibly another place soughta like the city hall...? Not sure how it can be inside the hall because I thought maybe like 5x5 on the block ( or wool picture of a sapling next to flags or something
