Peterporty set his /home in our closed off zoned area and is stealing items as we break them

As said by fillerB, also yarwood has made a similar statement.

"Alright let's get a simple to follow guide here on the above.

Step 1) Someone has entered your property
Step 2) You ask him to leave on a friendly tone.
Step 3a) You try to kill him in PvP-combat.
    or
Step 3b) You tphere him to spawn.

Skipping step 2 means using tphere on him is command abuse and will result in a demotion. The trespasser needs to actually be aware that he is trespassing."

In theory, yeah; it was a dick move from myself. Then again; my /home was there before that piece of land was zoned, and it's really your fault for not having a walled area.

If you're going to cite a precedence (not a solid rule) then be sure you actually follow it.

He clearly knew he was trespassing and how is it not a friendly tone? If you found somebody on your land, would you offer them a drink whilst they leave?

Ya kidding me right? "This is my unwalled zoned area that takes up like 2% of the map. Get out or I'll kick you out." How is that friendly?

    Alternatives that spring to mind:
"Pete, would you please leave this Area?"
"Pete, would you be so kind to leave this base as you aren't welcome"
"Pete, please vacate this area as this is private property."

Why should somebody have to say "please" to somebody on their land.

The part where PP was in is actually walled.

Slight exaggeration on the "Get out or I'll kick you out".

After being tp'd to spawn the first time, you'd think he would get the message, yet he came back and stood in the way of our mining to gain the materials being dropped.

he was in the the closed off area within the closed off area i did not politely ask him to leave however i did not rudely ask him to leave either. He was clearly in the wrong as the rules stated by fillerb and by yarwood whom are both admins. Even though fillerb turned around and tried to hide the fact that he did indeed say what he said those are the rules listed by the admins and it is what was followed. Why are you all still trolling and why does orcworm let things like this persist?

Read the precedent Red has digged up from Rana knows where. It clearly states is has to be in a friendly tone. "and I'm kicking you out." isn't friendly. Not even going into the idea that Pete might even have left VOLUNTARY is asked to.

And for at least the THIRD time, neither Yarwood nor I nor any other admin MAKE the rules. Only Orc does. What you are referring to was a precedent in a certain situation.

Does any of what you're saying actually make a difference or are you just posting for the hell of it? What was said applies to this situation directly. he was stealing items as they were broken in a clear attempt to cause an annoyance you are defending him on the grounds that i did not ask him to leave politely enough

PS orcworm himself rolled back the area and those were pumpkins vespasian broke you may now stop posting since you have litterally no grounds to defend your self on.

Lol, yes I do... See what the problem is here; I did accept what I did was wrong (no against the rules, but dickish) while you think you've done nothing wrong. You people kept teleporting me out of my /home. Sure, the power abuse with WE has nothing to do with this situation in particular, but still.

EDIT: Well, Orc: You decided to mute me for nothing, and then said "for annoying Yarwood". What kind of reason is that? Come on, you didn't even listen to what the problem was. When I /msg'd you to solve the problem your answer was "/msg Yarwood instead of me". I understand that you might be tired/bored/whatever, but sincerely, if you don't want to deal with the problem, just don't.

2.- Yet you people were mining them.
    3.- Ad Hominem much?
4.- It's not about asking rudely or not; if you had your zone open and all, you can't expect people not to go in just because you want to. YOUR dick move was to TP people without their consent.
5.- As soon as you do so. Of course, I'm not trolling now, so... yeah.

You were standing in the way whilst we were mining in a completely walled off area.

Would you also expect us to say "Please kind sir, stop taking our items and leave" ?

I don't see, in anyway possible, how I'm in the wrong for tp'ing you to spawn? You were doing nothing productive at the time and attempting to take the items we were mining.

As I said in the first couple of posts, this was solved within minutes of the original complaint being posted, thus locked, and I mean locked.

So he set his home AFTER you kicked him from the area. Clearly he must have had his home there before these shenanigans. Why is this only a problem now?

    Point 2:
Then why did Orc not do it himself while he was busy rolling back stuff?

    Point 3:
He didn't say a word besides "lol" before your threat

    Point 4:
"peterporty you do not have permission for this area and i'm kicking you out" is a statement and not a polite request for Pete to leave your area. And I honestly can't see why you haven't tried doing just that. It helps wonders.

    Point 5:

I wasn't harassing you; I was in no way making your gaming experience worse, I was barely even speaking, FFS. I'd say the fact that you guys TP'd me without my consent several (SEVERAL) times is much more harass-like than just standing there, and I'm pretty sure the kick is abuse as well, considering you just kicked me for personal issues. How many times have you kicked people for going into someone else's home?

And THIS crap of you people is exactly why we don't have nice things around here. YES, you should have asked Pete to leave/return the items before resulting to threats and command abuse. It's called being civil and "the bigger man", try it sometimes.

And as I already said earlier I am not talking Pete's actions right even though what he did was within the rules. He had a legal way to get into that area. He did not insult or call you names over chat nor did he try to kill or grief you (even though those are moot points since he was in your zone). Frankly he appears to have done nothing besides standing there and picking up items. Once again, although an incredibly dickmove, what he did was fully within the rules.

I'd say the fact that you guys TP'd me without my consent several (SEVERAL) times is much more harass-like than just standing there, and I'm pretty sure the kick is abuse as well, considering you just kicked me for personal issues. How many times have you kicked people for going into someone else's home?

You were standing in the way of us mining items attempting to take them - affecting us directly.
As stated in the first post, you were in our base/home/zoned area (whatever) without permission and therefore I/we tp'd you to spawn.

I even asked Orc if it would be alright to /kick you for doing the above, he said it'd be alright, how in any way is this a "personal issue".

How many times do we need to say that the area Pete was in is walled off?

It wasn't. If it was, I couldn't have got in, I don't have teleportation commands nor could I edit blocks inside there.

    >.>

    EDIT: Lol orc xD

Pete: I was using /home to get in
Pete: It isn't walled off, or else I couldn't get in.

So, if anybody else were to go and (perhaps not the same case, but still the same principle) set my home in Frostside - which is undergoing construction, stand there whilst blocks are being mined and pick them up intentionally before the miner has a chance to pick them up, be tp'd away numerous times, come back and repeat - would be allowed?

    I don't think so.

It would not be against the rules as we currently have them no. A gigantic dickmove that I would tempban for, sure. But actually against the rules? But then again I already explained that thrice in this topic. Just as I already explained thrice that you and Red were just as much in the wrong for not even bothering to ask Pete to sod off.

Not against the rules because we don't have a rule on it? How about "griefing - harassment", it's pretty clear he was harassing us as we were trying to mine the items.

Please surprise me with yet another post which I've already made a point on in this thread.

7 Seconds is plenty of time to /spawn.

Considering (like I've said loads of times) the area he was in is walled off, there would've been no alternate.

Whether 7 seconds was enough time, there was no need to come back another 3 times.

And this'll be the last time I post
