Inventory glitch, HELP!

I don't know what is going on, every time i try to move something around in my inventory(lets say i need some wood to make sticks) the item wont move from its spot. this happens to all items, and i can no longer travel because the way out of my home is with ladders, and since the update you cant have gaps in them, so i need another ladder. i have also noticed that when accessing a chest, if i click on an item, it goes automatically to a spot on the chest. No, i don't drag it there, no i don't tell it hoe many i want, that item, and that amount just goes to a random spot on the chest. Is this glitch a new feature to the update, or is my minecraft screwed up. If someone knows the solution to this problem, or has experienced this as well, please post a comment. I need help!

Take the weight off your shift key.

Restart the game/ delete .minecraft folder
Happened to me yesturday.

Fixed, thank you purecraft, and fuck you notch, make an update that doesn't actually fuck up the game for once.

Unorthodox as in seemingly going completely against any and all good practices, in both testing as development process (keeps adding things to the SCRUM backlog)? Unorthodox as in stating that he has publicly admitted that the beta/upcoming release moniker is no more than a marketing trick? Yeah, thought so. Let the people bitch.

The update is totally worth it btw it helps you store things faster then before so I like it a lof

Have you seen what Notch is planning for 1.6? It's gonna' be the first ever bug-fix update... I'm excited.

ive had that same inv glitch, annoying as fuck, plus no more /mc right as nether comes out >.<

I'm glad /mc is out, damn glass. BUT I hear it updated.

game is just as beta as farmville.

IE we payed for it.

At the point we paid for it, we have some reason to complain if the game is broken beyond playability.
