Was I banned?

Ok, so I joined the server yesterday (around 10:00 GMT -8 I think), and I went to log on today and got this:
Disconected by Server
greifing a house near sergantpinapples' house unsure of whom though

Im not really sure what this is or why.
Please help?

ok ill admit to doing that, but i wouldnt call it greifing. I think it was somewhere on the forums, but it said something along the lines of 'protection needs to be redone. ask a mod to redo it', and the chests were locked but no protection on the houses, indicating that nobody had been there in a long time. i didnt think it would matter considering there were houses everywhere that had holes next to locked doors.

Please I really want to be able to play on this server. Is there anything I can do to be able to go back on?

Since it happened elsewhere you think it's ok? If someone used a crowbar to enter your house, would you go out and do the same because you didn't think it would matter?
