since i know at least a couple of you out there have iphones/itouches, i thought i'd make a reccomendations thread. feel free to post apps you reccomend!

I have Angry Birds, Doodlejump, Cut the Rope, and Mach Dice. MD is a valuable tool when I need to make a secret roll without my players being aware of it.

What about jailbreak apps/cydgets/themes for allo f you with jailbroken devices

I jailbreak my ipod alot, but im not too happy with the fact that its always a tethered jailbreak. Although i do reccomend winterboard for appearace changes. Id list more but typing on an ipod touch sucks >.>

My favorite jailbreak apps/cydget thingy's
mxtube: It's basicly an app that connects to YouTube except it gives you the option to download YouTube videos so you can watch them whenever, and wherever, even without Internet.

There's also winterboard, if you want cool backgrounds, app paints, dock colours, unlock sliders etc. Winterboard is for you

Another good one is makeitmine, on a regular iPods banner it just says "IPod", but with makeitmine you can make it say practically anything you want.

Another must have is sbsettings. This one is a bit hard to explain but it's awesome I guarantee it.

The last one I'm gonna recommend for now is applocket. Tired of your friends moving/deleting your apps? Don't want them getting into your phone/important game apps (or any really) well with applocket you can block access to certain apps with a password and also disable deletion/moving of apps without a password

If it's available (probably is) ScummVM.

Talking about Android. I'm thinking about getting either an ereader or a cheap Android-based tablet for my reading-on-way-to-work needs. The cost should be as cheap as possible (not exceed €200) due to student loans and stuff. Fancy stuff like 3G and the ability to play HD videos aren't needed since it's for reading. Does anyone have any suggestions?

i did this. the reason i dont have my ipod currently jailbroken is the fact that ive so far been unable to find a jailbreak that isnt tethered, making it a bitch to turn on/off my ipod. and also im pretty sure jailbreaking is legal, ftw!

What firmware do you have?

currently? 4.3.2 but i know how to downgrade.

Unless you have your SHSH blobs stored in Cydia you can't downgrade. I'm currently on 4.3.1 untethered JB, I'm not sure if there's one for 4.3.2 though.
