Official / Large arenas?

Sorry, just to clear something up, are there like, official PvP zones within the server? Or is it just random arenas made by players?

everywhere is pvp zones, except for the spawn city, and zones created by orcworm for other places

We should really get a arena.. and only ONE arena this time...

We should edit over filmjolks arena from the old map, that's my suggestion

I know there were multiple people interested in starting one, but none ever went through, a real pvp arena would be awesome, i'd like to see something different than a colosseum like in the last map though

i can possibly try... but it would take soooo many resources, i dont think i could do it with my money :/

Easy, create a topic on forum inviting EVERYONE to help, there's sooo many people that want one and are willing to do it, and that way people can actually vote on what they want, rather than just 1 persons idea.

What I see is that 'Arenas' are not interesting enough. A pker/pvper would usually rather go out and hunt people down, as opposed to an arena that probably isnt running constantly.

People arent going to want to keep coming to just some arena. It'll have to be the Grand-Daddy Arena! Plus incentives to draw people to want to pvp there rather than just outside.

Another Arena plugin may be required, but from my experience over the last couple of months is that: plugins make the server hiccup and sneeze, and everyone complains.

Maybe hold a contest on the 'Official' design of the 'Official' arena.... officially? That way, we can say this is the ONE AND ONLY arena.

Maybe have multiple areas that are pvp with different bioms. and a pvp maze. above ground, and underground. for example a pvp arena with a few blocks of soul sand or lava that a player has to navigate while fighting. Although it seems that some pvpers like to pick on random people who had no intention of fighting at the time and had nothing on them.

all right then, what about making 1 large arena.It has a maze under it. and it has 4 separate arenas on the surface. split them up with a wall. arena #1: just a flat surface with no obstacles. arena #2:pits of lava places erratically around the arena. 3#: an arena with a fence dividing it. for archer fights. 4# an arena with soul sand for the floor. and then up above the 4 arena is a one large one with no obstacles and stadium seating. just a flat surface. maybe for champion fighting, or a large ffa. the lower floors could be used for 1v1s or 2v2s. and in the corner would be a pool of water for people who wish to forfeit.

But you don't. So, do it by hand like most minecrafters.

A huge arena would be nice. But It would need to be like xbot says a maze or something to make it interesting. Like city themed,any that adds challenge and makes it different from the run-of-the-mill run around in a circle arena

An arena sounds awesome..

A huge place with maybe a lot of different venues or themes? middleage / desert etc.

So that people would have different places to battle it out, but at the same arena..

Yeah, a battle/gladiator arena would be nice, and is missing I think.

Just avoid colosseum, it's soooo 1.3... I like the idea of the different types of arenas all in one...
