Small suggestion...

I was wondering if this symbol could be more rail-road like

I would probably add some more height to it...
It just bugs me every time I walk near it. It took me a while to figure out what it was too. Hopefully you can make it more obvious that it's a minecart track.

I have always lived next to that and have NEVER noticed that it was a railroad track. I thought it was a cute decoration or something.

C'mon, that looks exactly like a railroad track.

Prolly should be a bit taller. I swear, I have never noticed that it's a railroad track.

Psh, who even rides the railroad? I'd rather pay 5 gil to get tp'd to New Frostside then wait 15 mins on the railroad. (No offense to jar/ruly, it's just the rail is a tad long) If only Orcnub had the brains to install Minecart Mania TP...we can all dream...

Even i noticed it was a rail symbol and i haven't been on X[]

Rationalizing my apparent inept observation abilities:

I blame my inability to see that it is a railroad track because Misa's tex pack has ore blocks (iron, gold, diamond, etc) with rough, metallic edges while wool appears very smooth on it, this it looked nothing like a railroad track to me.

If you're talking about the time, Jarvisd, I've heard the ride is 20 minutes. Alas, I personally have no use for the railroad, so what do I know?

If you're saying that since 15 isn't divisible by 2 (at least as a whole number), then that should keep Pat busy for a while. :3

15/2=7.5+2=9.5 Minute Ride. 9.5 Minute= 9:30 ride. Who the hell told you it was 20 minutes the cart goes over the maximum speed of a mine cart and it is 5k blocks long.. They will be killed multiple times!

Edit: Are you really questioning me on how long it is. The person who made it? Lulz I did time tests a week ago.

I think it's fine the way it is. And I'm not just saying that because I was the one who made it. If we made it any taller it would look really off. Remember that this is supposed to stand in a city. Signs usually aren't larger than buildings.

maybe it should be larger so people can find it (ive never seen a railroad system on this server) lol. dont worry liz you arent alone, but i've just never seen it.

At least make the iron blocks into light gray wool blocks, because they look much better. Also, you justification that signs shouldn't be larger than buildings makes me thing of every non-admin shop, knowing how other spawn buildings are usually taller than 9 blocks. Also, my design is more proportional and more likely to be noticed as a minecart track. People should know where the railroad is, instead of seeing some random weird looking "sign" and not even knowing that there is a railroad at all. If you ask me in game I can supply the materials....because I don't want my model to be sitting there forever.

Shall we poll this then? I don't see the problem with the current sign. If players are unable to this sign they will also be unable to see any other sign. It's right at the end of one of the main paths in NOS for Rana's sake.

So it actually looks more like a railroad track...

not to offend any one but who actually uses the railroad? i have only seen complaints about it getting greifed i had no idea where is started or where it lead to. Nor have i never had the desire to either.

Of course this is coming from me who thinks the ideas of making people pay to build an a small 10X12 area when they could build ANYWHERE on the map. i hate cities, for the most part and only go to them for shops

Well you have teleport, sadly most people don't.

The railroad is for People who can't find tp runes and if someone is bored for a while. It's pretty awesome if you think about it... It's very useful for afk, cuz when if someone wants to tp kill you they'll just get run over, or passed by.

id be interested in seeing the scenery of it, if there is any. sadly i have no idea where the city is that it resides in. Railroads are nice for posting a video advertising the awesome creations on your server. which we should totally do.. after we figure out what is killing the server right now. Im not going to vote because i havent seen it.

It's on the ground level of the very city you spawn in. :3

BRINGING this back on topic, i think that the railroad symbol should have not 2 not 4, but 3 posts, cause 2 is too small and 4 is too tall

Exactly what I just though. So should we go with that? Also if you think people are having trouble finding it we can add two red lights ontop that flash with a period of 4-5 seconds?

Agree with the lights, also the railroad needs more advertisement

I put some signs at the bottom of da spawn tower. I also made the railroad track like your design UBERBLAKE but with iron blocks. Anyother suggestions for advertisment, just post em uber, tyvm.

It looks nice now.. and i like the cart TP signs! just dont ride the tracks with low health..
