Steamz help

Yeah I kinda have steam now but currently it says I can't send friend requests and such and it says I need to register a game to access these but I got TF2 for free and i'm not sure as how to add this game onto the list. Help guys and I can still receive friend requests and such so just add meh until I can sort this out.

What Valve has done with steam, is require a PAID GAME registration in order to use Steam as a friend/chat feature. It reduces friend/chat spam that you would otherwise get if the feature was available freely.
