Yes, killing off the germs in your stomach/digestive track is an excellent idea. =D

Re: Troll Science Corner!
For every human cell in 'your' body there are approximately 10 bacterial cells. These bacterial cells function to provide a sort of 'immune system' and aid in digestion of nutrients. A human requires them to be healthy and to function 100%. This always makes me question the domain classification scheme as it seems outdated for the scientific knowledge at present time. There should be an additional domain, along the lines of 'Euprokaryotes', indicating a multicellular organism consisting a mixture of Prokaryotic and Eukaryotic cells.

Re: Troll Science Corner!
To add onto what mtbers said: the alcohol content in regular beer (usually 5%) is nearly not enough to kill off any germs. You need to think more around the 70-80% or so. So a strong Absinthe (70ish%) or a distilled rectified spirit such as Everclear (75%) would be better suited.

Could always try some absolute alcohol at 99%, it will kill everything. If your lungs don't collapse the benzene will get you.

To be fair, there is no such thing as 99% alcohol. You can only distill it to around 96%.

My grandpa used to import this shit from Beirut and drink it straight from the bottle. 63% alcohol.

Pure absolute ethanol is >99.x%.

Yes you are right, with normal distilling and no additives there is a limit around 96%. By adding the benzene one can increase the threshold to around 99.99%. However, 100% is not possible as I think it undergoes an incredibly exothermic reaction i.e., it explodes. My best guess is it has something to do with the ordering of the individual ethanol molecules and at 100% they are aligned in a way in that 'spontaneous' oxidation occurs. So the benzene molecules, I haven't looked this up so am assuming this, disrupt the alignment of the ethanol and prevents the oxidation reaction by the ethanol molecules.
I could, and most likely am wrong here but cant be assed looking this up, so don't quote me on this.
EDIT: As i thought I was completely wrong and its because of the natural affinity that ethanol has for other solvents so it is incredibly hard to remove these solvents. The benzene is used to remove water in ethanol solution that is about 96% to around 99.99% and then I assume that it requires too much effort to remove the benzene so they leave it in there.
Additionally they can get 100% ethanol, by the looks of thing, I have never observed it my self or know how they produce it. So yeah, sorry about that misleading and completely wrong guess above.
I got the knowledge about the 100% not existing as when I went to school they taught us it didn't exist. However, it does.

A) I do believe the poll would still fall as gravity is stil there. Seen from the polls point of view, there is a hole below it, through which it will fall, exiting right above the hole again on the other portal.
B) Since the poll is a sturdy object, i would say as soon as you let go the upper portal, it will stay stuck ontop of the poll, since the poll itself cannot change shape as in getting longer or shorter. Laws of physics would keep the portal floating around the poll.
But: if the pannel the portal is placed at is so heavy that it could bend the poll, the poll would most likely be deformed and flattened.
C) This can easily be refered to the cameras in the game. Since half the matter of the poll is on the other side of the portal, closing and reopening the portal would cut the poll, making both ends fall down through the other portal.

Picture 1: A and B each put 20 in Box
- A (-20)
- B (-20)
- Box (40)
Picture 2: B pays A 30
- A (10)
- B (-50)
- Box (40)
Picture 3: B empties Box
- A (10)
- B (-10)
- Box (0)
Conclusion: A makes 10 bucks, B loses 10 bucks.
