Stable connection? O.o

yea.. anyway, since about 3 days ago, I've been having an issue with the server where I log in, it load the chunk i'm standing on. after this, it slowly loads one or two around me, chat spams my screen and then i get dropped and the "Read time out" error occurs.

I have done a tracert and everything is fine there, I did a ping to 'orcworm.co.uk' and got this:

BUT! once i start the game and login, I monitored the ping using a -t and got this:

This is enough for java to say screw you and ends the connection with a rude:



If it helps, the main site (orcworm.co.uk) is also very badly lagged in loading where as every other orcworm site is fine.

I realise my upload speed is horrible, however, it has never caused any heart ache before.

I'm unsure of what has happened, but i can assure you nothing on my end has changed. I have checked with my ISP about any service changes, restarted my modem/router many times, reset my changes on my computer reguarding Minecraft and my network and the problem still persists.

Is there anything you guys can check/do that could help this? I really do enjoy this server and if this problem keeps up, I won't be able to stay because it's becoming unbareable.

Do you have any problem joining any other server?

Oh, no. Every other server I playing i have no lag what so ever and never have issues like this.

okay, so since my last post, apparently thes server is once again working for me, still minor lag, but in comparison with what was happening, this is nothing

I'm not sure how you manage with 380ms average ping, good god.

lol, the ping is actually fine, not much visable lag at all, occassionaly lag spikes, but other than that it's perfect!

Open ports used by Orcworm.co.uk. Either by Windows Firewall (or you don't use windows! good lad) or by checking your Internet Security Suite (anti virus blah blah). If that doesn't work open ports on your router, if you have one.
