Forum Ban Appeal Empty Forum Ban Appeal

Post by sieve ban appeal 2011-07-07, 06:11

As some of you probably know, Pure and I were banned for [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]. However as the rules clearly state
    E) Trolling is acceptable( unless it violates the religious, political or racial rules)
. This ban is in clear violation of this rule. Furthermore, banning someone solely for speaking a different language is, in my opinion, a form of racism which, unlike trolling, IS prohibited by the rules. Obviously, I'm not calling for Rulyon to be demoted or anything, but I do think Pure and my banning was both unfair and against the rules. I didn't argue the last time I was temp banned because I was banned for a legitimate reason. Since I'm forum banned, I can't appeal this on my account so I made this one. I'll delete this account as soon as this is dealt with. Link to the thread we were banned from.[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Also obviously, I speak for myself, not Pure and idk how he feels about this.

Denied. You were repeatably told by two forum-staff members to keep the discussion in English because that is the common language around here. That they (temporarily) banned you because of your intentional trolling/goading of them is your own fault. Same goes for Pure.

I didn't say it wasn't my fault, I'm saying banning me exclusively for trolling is completely against the rules.

The rules you are quoting are those of the server and of a particularly badly written and contested set too. The _forum_ rules found in the General Information topic clearly state:
Please keep your trolling and flaming somewhere else; although we accept some slight trolling, any major troll will have his/her post deleted and his account banned.

So these _temporary_ bans are not illegal, especially not with 3/4 active forum staff-members agreeing to it. Don't think you can get away with such obvious obnoxious behaviour just because the rules are, or in this case not, on your side.

Not for "trolling" for "trolling foreign languages". You were told to speak in ENGLISH and you didn't. It's not racism to require English. It's the common language on the server and the forums. The staff can't do their job if they can't understand a word you're saying. It wasn't for trolling, it was for failing to adhere to instructions of the forum staff.
