Moving the warhub Empty Moving the warhub

    Post by uberblake 2011-07-21, 11:41

I would like to suggest moving the warhub. It is large, and sort of in the way.
    As you can see...
    PICTURE OF THE WARHUB:
...the warhub is partially blocking the stairs(on the right), and doesn't fit in.
I would like to suggest a relocation to under spawn. Not completely under spawn, but maybe in the wool/bedrock room.
There could be a ladder descending down, instead of stairs that made the original location awkward. If it is in the wool/bedrock room, the portion under it could still be used.

Sorry for putting down the hard work that the staff did, it's just...kinda weird. Take a look for yourself, and you'll see what I mean.

    Edit: MOVE IT NAO
    See?!Now Move IT!!!:

Well that location allows easy access, just /spawn and go in. but again you could do /warhub.

It kinda expands on its own when we add zones... ^^

/Warhub is better than /Spawn...so argument destroyed :3

If we use the bottom of spawn and have a ladder descending down, we eliminate the stairs that block a whole side, and it doesn't have to ruin the way down for new players.

Apologies for this, i often had to fix the glass into stone, but obviously the third arena made it too much.

I would have move the WarHub earlier if someone had told me they were even designing a third WarHub, yet alone it being added...

And Uber, that poll, how much more bias do you want it?

Edit: The WarHub needs mooving back into some kind of area in the spawn tower. New players don't realise about ./warhub and will likely pass over it if told about by other players.

    And a 4th arena...!?

I agree, but where it is now works for now until we find a suitable home for it, unless we disable one of the hubs are start the weekly rotation?

Well one Hub barely gets 3+ players atm. We really didn't need the 3rd and 4th arena, no offense to the creators ofc.

Rotation may work, let's see if anyone else has any ideas?

Make an ante of 5gil or something and the winner takes all, and it can be continued with rewards indefinitely. Unless that's already been done sorta, then my most humble apologies.

There is the option for a reward (unfortunetly not iconomy)
At the moment, I have one of the zones set to award you 4 iron blocks.
    This can be changed however.
Maybe you win a slime? IDK.

4 iron blocks! Wow, that'd easily sell for 70Gil, you might want to at-least half that :p

i think slimeballs, then have a sign where you can sell them back for a gil prize (like the same amount as buying a slimeball)

Or we could make the reward something that we want the price to go down on....like mobspawners or saddles

Implying what 'we' want the price to go down for means squat Razz.

exactly my thinking. or 0:20, theres some way you can make it so it doesnt buy at all. or go the cheap-ish route and remove the slimeballs from the admin shop so you have to play war arena to get slimeballs for sticky pistons Very Happy

    Oooo I like that idea.
But people like to buy things... maybe increase the price in the admin shop and then you can sell it back for 20 in the warhub.
