Notch also kills you in spawn. Can this be fixed?

There a couple of "Evil" NPCs running about that _can_ attack people. Luckily they are slow as shit, dumb as a brick and easily evadeable. As for Ciphs question: No you cannot make them yourselfs. Or atleast you shouldn't be able to last time I checked.
Anyone who _does_ find that he is capable of making PVP-enabled NPCs; Keep them in your own area and use them as guards if you are so enclined. Position them at major chokeholds or PVP-disabled areas and... well I think you can imagine what will happen.

Also, they only attack when provoked.
Try and smack it silly and they'll smack back. But build them a nice lil' cage and they wont complain at all!

my brother also saw notch, good thing he didn't attack it, so what does he just teleport to people randomly or something?
and another question i have is if i can make a npc that will roam around freely, but only in a restricted area, not in a specified path such as it would be with /npc path
