Last I heard the map was being reset in November when Minecraft is fully released, after it stabilizes. I think asking if it's being reset early is a valid question considering he's requesting a small portion of the map, a project he put quite a bit of effort into creating, be saved.
At least try to give a little reason as to why this suggestion is so grotesque to you that you have to be mean to a stranger.

Correct, there will be no reset of the main world until Minecraft's 'official' release. I imagine GM just wants to stare at his creation in singleplayer or something.
