Yeah, I know, I copied these right from the wiki with print screen. I tried to make a fancy set up but it kept failing so I just cheapened it with this.
Dye tips and tricks
There are currently four kinds of sheep, classified by the color of their wool:
1. White sheep
2. Light gray sheep
3. Dark gray sheep
4. Black sheep
If you are looking to make wool dyed a certain color, it is better to dye a sheep the desired color and get the colored wool directly from the sheep. Doing this will give you a chance to get 1-3 colored wool pieces per piece of dye, instead of only 1.
Mixing one Ink Sack with two Bone Meal(bone meal-ink sack-bone meal) will give you three Light Gray Dye. If you need Light Gray Dye, this method is economical for Ink Sacks.
Dyed wool and cloth are excellent tools for creating more homely Minecraft homes and tons more pixel art.
Lapis Lazuli is the only dye color you have to mine to get. You can also combine 9 ore to create a block much like iron or diamond and it is darker than the dyed wool.
There is another color, unobtainable via normal methods. Brown For those mods/admins out there that want to sell it [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] can be manually added.
Coco Beans | Removed | Can only be obtained thru inventory hacking/mod placement | Gives ? dye |
This is an abridged version of 3.1 wiki pages. I find it's much easier to read this without all the technical stuff
