donating to be unbanned??? wtf

hey guys,

i read this topic of a guy who really wated to be unbanned, yarwood said that he had to give up or donate ten pounds.
i don't hope that this is true because paying to be unbanned isn't fair. when someone got banned and he can't find an other server then that is his problem and he has to deal with it.
can someone tell me if there are any people unbanned because they donated.

well i don't think it's fair because people need to learn of what they have done.
but that's your decision to make. and well it's a good way to keep the server running xD

If you got banned, then donated to be unbanned, the only people who will like you are other people who did the same thing.

Example: Rykleos got banned for a very very very serious reason. His mother donated, what, 15 pounds for him, or so. He got unbanned. He isn't allowed to be a donator with donator powers anymore, and the majority of the server look at him with more disdain than before he was banned.

That answers your question.

I think it really depends who you are that decides if people don't like you. For example, urmomsmoat didn't make a big deal about it, and plenty of people like him, except for those people who HAVE to make everyone feel bad about what they did.

I dont get any of the money, therefore I don't deal with anything remotly related to said money.

When they pay to be unbanned, it's still a punishment..

Yah Rykleos just made a giant deal about it and it was a bad situation.

Edit: And yah patrick likes to take people that have global bans here and make them members on his server.

i though to be banned was to be punished.. i dont see any punishment in

1. play and have funn
2. Ruin for others or get unfair ingame advantage
3. Be banned!
4. Pay 10 pounds
5. Play and have funn
6. ....

in my eyes that isnt punishment, but yes you earn money out if it, thats for sure

The punishment is, they're banned, they have to take money out of their own, or parents pocket to come back. After having to go through that, you'd think that they would learn that whatever they did before was something they won't try a second time. And yes, Orc gets lots of money, if he didn't have enough...

I'm assuming that's why x-rayers usually get global bans/rollbacks and their appeals denied
