I was clearing out a rather large piece of land for a new city i was making. Heres the forums post: https://orcworm.forumotion.co.uk/t4168-a-new-city

I took a break from making it...but when i decide to go back to building it i see that it has 4 towers on it. And its zoned.

https://i.imgur.com/NG6zA.png Heres a pic, and the coords. I would like it un-zoned and cleared out please. Since it was never

    their land to build on.

No-one owns land unless it's zoned, if you wanted something for a build you should've got it zoned beforehand, sorry.

My house isnt zoned... Does that mean someone can just tear it apart and build something new? Or what if i see an unzoned area.

Am i allowed to just grief it? I think that is completely ridiculous. I didnt zone it yet because it was a giant flat piece of land.

And i didnt think someone would have the thought "Oh look, someone made a flat piece of land. I should build on it"...

That's why you compass across the map and find a secluded spot to flatten land. That's what I did and nobody built on it before I got it zoned.

But still who in the right mind finds a PERFECTLY flat piece of land and just goes ahead and builds on it. I doubt they thought

it was natural. (Unless their slightly retarded, which they might be) And Orc you cant just say "sorry" and its over with...

I spent a long time flattening out that land. And they (DCN_Productions, UrMomsMoat) decided to just put these huge towers

on it. They already have a gigantic piece of ZONED land. They dont need to steal mine. Mad

If it didnt have anything at all on it (no torches), then I would definitely build on it. But if it had a bunch of torches, I wouldn't even touch the thing. If it didn't look claimed at all, it could be anyone's, and I could claim it, because I would've had no clue how old it was, if who built it was banned, ect...

There were torches all over it. Even a little hut with chests and furnaces/workbenches in it.

The fact the house is unzoned just means you can report griefs and have them rolled back. We're talking about land that wasn't built on, let alone touched for months, I certainly haven't seen you on and I'm an Orcworm addict...

Since there was nothing built on the flat land for a while I would suppose, DCN decided to have it zoned and build on it. Not his fault you decided to not have it zoned and left without saying anything about it, is it?

If the hut is gone/destroyed and built over, doesn't that count as griefing? Then you can have all their gargantuan towers rolled back and build your own monstrosities.

@thebadhatter In that case, if the land was granted to be zoned, the blame should lay with DCN. Not that I'm trying to lay the blame on Orc for anything here, that's just how that seems to go for me.

Then again, why didn't Joe get it zoned before he left? Commonsense would think "I'm going away for a while, I like this land and have donator status, I should get it zoned"... Just sayin'

Putting torches on an area is not enough to 'claim' anything. If it's fenced off all around the perimeter then I would accept that, other than of-course actually building something on it.

    1. My hut and chests are gone

    2. I havent been "away" from orcworm for several months.

    3. I still dont think its fair.

And another thing...How is covering a gigantic piece of land with torches not mean: Hey! Someone must be building on this!

I am taking Joe's side on this. If he had a hut and tools on the area then he should be allowed to appeal for a grief. Also, what if Joe doesn'y have the gil or money to just buy a zone. Orc please give this a little bit more of a chance.

Show some grief evidence of your hut, and you SHOULD have your land reclaimed (or atleast your hut and the chests) atleast that's my right mind of justice

Apparently you cleared it out on the 28th of July, and you've only just noticed somebody built on it...

get to building again when i saw the buildings...

    **Sorry for double post**

https://i.imgur.com/qh848.png Here is what remains of my old hut. The outside of it is gone, they didnt bother filling up the

underground part. But they did steal everything from the chests. They needed to grief in order to get to the chests since

it was underground. This now proves two things. 1. I WAS there before them. 2. They griefed me.

So what did you have in plain view, above ground to signify it was 'your' land? You have LogBlock powers and you obviously know what you built better than I do.

If I make a workbench in the middle of a forest, make a clearing and then someone decides to build their house I am not going to claim it was griefing. If I had fenced the area and made a sign or two stating the date of the clearing and my player name I would then consider the act of removing that for something else grief.

Simply put, you cannot clear an area, put torches over it and then just claim it is yours, if that was the case there would be no free land left on this map for any newbies to build on.

Well...I really dont know what else to say. I proved I was there before them. I proved they took down my hut and my chests.

If thats not enough proof (or your just being bribed/ass-kissed) than i guess it doesnt belong to me anymore. Cuz imo, a large

flat piece of land, with torches all over, with a small hut on it.(With chests) That means someone owns it and building on it, and

destroying that persons things is considered grief, and not allowed. But im not the owner, so my opinion doesnt mean much.

    Good day.

Sadly I am not being bribed to uphold my own ruleset. 30 day-old torches on a spot of land does not make it yours, simple as that.

JoeTheSheep wrote:I proved they took down my hut and my chests.

I would be happy to see this removal of a structure above ground according to LogBlock and not 3 dirt blocks you happened to put down a month ago, but unfortunately I have yet to see any.
