I found a bukkit plugin for it:

Interesting plugin. But if I read the description correctly it doesn't need client mods to join the server but to actually see the capes and other skin modifications you need to download that mod for yourself. IMO I don't really like the idea because some people might not be able to see and capes is not really that much worth the trouble.

Due to it needing client modification so you can see the changes, I doubt it will be added.

Meh. I never said that this particular plugin should be added. I asume there are other cape plugins without the need of a client mod.

Still, capes would be cool.

People have trouble replacing a .jar to downgrade, nevermind install Spout (Even if it is just double clicking an exe).
