someone built a nether portal, so when you use the portal in the nether you get warped to a cliff and fall to your death in lava. can someone fix this

First, I'm pretty sure we can't have private portals unless Orc makes it and I'm pretty sure he wouldn't place one above lava.

my magic orb is broken. You posting the cords would help a lot.
