Minecraft crashes with Far view distance

I've noticed that when I use Far view distance, it tends to crash once in a while. Sometimes every 10 minutes, sometimes every hour or so, but it always does. With Normal or smaller view distance this doesn't happen.

Is this the case for anyone else? My computer has high framerates when running it so I doubt that's the problem, and my Java is updated to the most recent version, so I'm not sure what's causing it.

Its minecraft. What do you expect? However what is really strange is i get higher frame rates when far or normal than short or tiny. Exact opposite than in SP. =/

Yeah I know Minecraft is buggy, what I meant is does anyone know why it happens, or maybe a workaround.

And Minilink, I don't get what the nether thread has to do with this one....

Used to happen with me all the time in 1.1_02 and older versions, suddenly stopped and hasn't started since.
