Someone who has 20 crappy posts, 20 normal posts and 20 awesome posts will have more reputation than someone who has 300 normal posts, 10 crappy post and none of the awesome ones.

There are a lot of people who dislike him, and he posts a lot of bullshit... Your "lol", ETC posts are generally ignored, while his stupid posts are de-reputed, so he has negative rep and once you must have done a good enough post to get +1 rep...
