Hey I been trying to join the sever for 10+ and every time i got Connection Timed Out, What should I do?

MC1.2 Connection Timed Out.

It's been timing out for hours, General. It has omnomed it's RAM and needs a redraft, but Orc has been mysteriously absent for some time.

Does this happen a lot? A script handling automatic restart if errors occur shouldn't bee too complicated

The error message is the exact same every time, "java.net.SocketException: Connection reset" or something to that effect. The thing is it doesn't show the server as offline on any of the status sites such as minestatus.net, so I don't see how a script would be able to detect it actually being down either.

well, you could have something send a dummy connect attempt every so often, and if fail restart or something along those lines
or something along those lines

Why aren't their logon requests timing out then? In my head that means it's not exactly how they do it, since the results differ.
Just by having a look at minestatus it seems it does in fact not send any logon request, simply retrieve data from a query.
Also Orc, it occured to me. No server list will track server as offline when new logons get time out error, since it's in fact online. Players are on and can play, but new people can't join.
