Portal turret statue?

So my friend Wolfhe and I have a plan to build a statue of a Portal turret somewhere around spawn so that a lot of people would see it. Are there any specific places that would be good for said statue? The statue would be 15 by 15 by 17 blocks tall and will require alot of wool so donations/selling would be welcome.

Note: the statue does not have to be made like it is in the pictures and changes can be made (top hat and monocle trololol?)

Still working out final design because there's a few things that bug me about it, but it's pretty close to being finished. Also, the inside is hollow, but there's no way in besides /thru. ;D

Must have animal king turret...

I think it would be best off situated at one of the two 'side' exits, the ones that aren't as built up as the other two. One of them in particular has a reasonably large flat plain.

Hmm. I can't think of any good way to make the leopard-print. :3

Would a combination of dirt and brown wool do the trick? If so, that'd be cool, but the brown wool needed.... *shudder*

It's not perfect (leopard spots are hard to make without making the turret way bigger than it already is), but here you go. The spots need to be messed with a bit more too, I couldn't get them quite how I wanted them on the front and I'm too lazy to fix it tonight. :3

Ether way I suggest you replace the dirt with glowstone then add more brown wool?

Depends on the leopard you take the pattern from, but yes...
The good news is, dirt is easier to replace with glowstone than trying to only replace one shade of wool in WorldEdit...

Still not sure this is going to turn out well, though. >.< Patterns with lots of round structures are always difficult in Minecraft.
