    I know about IRC and saw it on the minecraft site, but i don't know how to connect to the server. help?

    Well you can use a java based client linked on the site OR the better option if you plan to stay on more is a downloaded client. I personally use MIRC it is free for the first 30 days but you can keep using it etc. but the java based client works too. If you use mirc you will have to enter the information etc but it is pretty easy to setup Very Happy
