Custom Title color

First off, I couldn't decide to post this either here or in S^4 so I chose to post here. If it belongs in S^4, feel free to move it.

So, I decided to log in today (don't ask) and discovered that donators now have custom titles with custom colors. This is exceptionally annoying as the very first one I saw was (Skylord) Rykleos in all staff color. I asked if he was staff which he said he was not but it still confused me as to his status of donator or staff.

That being said, I strongly suggest the cyan color is reserved exclusively for Staff, much like the orange is reserved for Orcworm.

Yeah i agree, it kinda takes away the emphasis of the blue tag. Or... Perhaps, you could even change staff color to something that stands out more?

We should have rainbow titles. That shit would be legit as all hell.

Albuca has a rainbow title, not sure if other staff have changed theirs though.

On topic, I do believe we should have Rainbow as a standard for staff color and ONLY staff may use rainbow colors as their title; in other words, non-staff would only be allowed to have monochromatic names.

Rainbow colours? Hell Fucking No.

I'll alter my proposition: Staff-only are allowed to use multiple colors in their names. That would remedy this situation best it seems.

These custom titles are shitty all the way around. It should just be guest, member, donor, staff, and owner. And no, I am not jelly. It is very, very hard to point out a staff member in the horrible rainbow vomit that is the chat spam.

I too am against it, Pat. However, they're a good incentive for peeps to donate.

Alas, we should either have an exclusive color like Orcy or have polychromatic titles. Either way, there needs to be a way to discern Staff from the absurdly large population of Donators.

Set all staff to the rainbow colour, problem solved.

Better yet. Keep _all_ donator-tags, whether custom or not, in the same color and only have the actual _name_ be custom colored.
With the addition that no custom tag of donators may be a similar or contain "staff" (ie Staph, NotStaff, Staffros) and that all staff-custom tags (ie Staff Bitch) _must_ contain it.
I agree completely that the way it is now is annoying and potentially confusing as shit.

And FUCK no, no multicolored tags. Period.

Tbh. Go back to the way we had it before, much more simple!

I *kinda* like the custom titles but not when they cause confusion as to who is Staff and who is not.

Edit: GoDjMike's title is "Staph". Frankly, I believe that should be a bannable offense for non-staff to do things like that.

Staff need to have a dedicated color and/or allow multicolors. And I agree that there shouldnt be any titles anywhere close to "staff".

I know no one cares what I think; but I think the colors should be standard. You can already change the name color, and now you can change the title. I think the title should stay blue as always. (I also think Staff should be the good old maroon admin color, but... Oh well.)

Keeping Donator colour would be good, that way you can keep "personal" ranks without so much confusion as to how to locate a staff member.

And I still don't see what was wrong with the "Light Blue = Admin, Dark Blue = Donator, Green = Member, White = Guest" we had. Contrary to common believe I am not a raging homosexual who likes Skittles-colored names. All these different colored-tags in chat are not only annoying but also unnecessary since people can already spruce up their name with different colors. On a sidenote, black really should be banned as a custom name color since it's practically unreadable.

But anyways Orc, give me one reason why this current setup is "better" or superior in any way besides being utterly annoying. And don't play the "I like it"-card. If you liked it you would be using a rainbow diarrhea tag yourself.

Well, it's much easier to discern staff from donators. That's for damn sure.

And how where Dark-Blue and Light-Blue not easy to differentiate from each other?

Cuz Orcy decided to let narbs use that color for custom titles. Genius. :S

That list looks good, I don't see why multicoloring was a problem if Albuca/Orc could just reset the donators who feel having something "Staph" in their name and possibly the staff colour was right. It's just misleading. >_<

Red sounded good from the merge, idk why we went with tealish blue Red stands out way more in chat, so when you get guests who don't normally read chat, they will when red pops up on their screen.

Yellow is the color for 'x has joined the game' and what not. I'll pay you a stack of feathers if one of you guys can convince that lazy noob to change the colors back.

Small fix/addition for clarity of what _I_ would find ideal. As Pete said: the current setup would suggest the server is being run by a little kid who has no idea what he is doing. And we don't want to suggest that now do we?
