Server Down?

I noticed that the server is down at the moment.
Perhaps an up to date section on the forum or the
Official Website with status information would provide
people with the answers they question themselves when they
can't connect to the server.

Just a suggestion.

Sometimes the server will hang (Like now), the server status notifiers still think the server's online but in actual fact no-one can join it.

I've given 5-6 people restart control, just hope they do it as I can't do anything from school .

What would I need to do to gain restart control of the server?
I don't need to become a moderator or admin. Just the capassity
to reboot the server when it needs to.
I know you talked about trust and maybe I should just wait and be patience
but I just like to help out.

I cannot restart it when you're at school, as I'm also at school at that time.

Looks like someone tried to start it in Terminal and failed, there were 3 screens of it, no wonder it wouldn't start with McMyAdmin, it was trying to run with 21gb / 7gb ram .

Oh, and it should be fine now.

Just bumping this since it's related, the server may be down for a few hours through the night (GMT) as I've got a friend fixing the server up a little (Optimizations, server statistics, all that good stuff.)

Please don't try to restart the server if it goes down during this time, cheers.

Unfortunately it does .

Means I have nothing else to do but revise... Okay, maybe I'll watch some dumb YouTube videos to pass the time.

EDIT: Well, I hope it will, there's only so much that can be done before the general Beta bugs and glitches start to limit it though.

No, sorry. And I only play Minecraft in weekdays. Because I'm too addicted (my parents say). And playing Xbox at midnight wouldn't look good with those parents sleeping in the next room.

Wow, that 3D map is awesome! I can zoom right in and find my own base and everything. Didn't know that kind of perspective map was possible.

There seems to have been a lot of confusion surrounding the temporary map.

When I say TEMPORARY, I mean TEMPORARY. None of your stuff is lost, none of your builds are gone, none of your items have disappeared, your Gil may have reset, as it sometimes does .

Thus I do not know when Minecraft will run perfectly, when hMod or Bukkit will be updated, nor the secret to the universe. I'm in the dark just as much as you guys are.


-Oh, and just to comment on a few things I've read in the chat. If you'd rather not play on a temporary map, then don't. No-one's forcing you to and your work on the 'old' map is completely safe.
The only options I have is a temporary map, shutting the server down for 3-4 days whilst hMod / Bukkit is updated, or reverting to 1.12 (Which there isn't really much point in to be honest.)
