Server Upgrade

Updating to a server from Hetzner's new 2011 hardware configurations sometime this week. I expect downtime to last no longer than 1-2 hours, though I can't say for certain.

For those who're interested:

i7-950 @ 3.07GHz / 3.33GHz -> i7-2600 @ 3.4GHz / 3.8GHz
12GB DDR3 1333 -> 16GB DDR3 1333
2* 1.5TB HDDs 3GB/s -> 2* 3TB HDDs 6GB/s

(And for those who're financially interested, it's costing me £200 Razz

May get slapped for asking this, but why exactly are you upgrading? Is the chaos server's number increasing? Or is it just because? I see no major lag going on in either servers... But then again, processor/ram upgrade is a good thing. No point in the hard drive upgrades though.

I save 20E / month in the long run once I get the setup fee covered with donations. Four runnning MC servers was also starting to cut into swap at peak times.

(I also want to run a MW3 server come November ;p)

Remind me never to get drives over 2TB again, Linux really doesn't like them.

Until your DNS propagates (Can take upto 24 hours), please use the following IP:

176.9.47.5

After which you can ofcourse use orcworm.co.uk.

Staff: Everything should be the same access wise, /ssd/minecraft moved to /opt/main, so bear that in mind.

Basically, it's a table, but it uses letters "M" "y" "S" "Q" and "L" to hold it up, instead of wooden legs.
