quite simple, you cant just escape a fight by typing /home

I hate the delay as well. Makes navigating the map to transfer my inventory a headache.

When and if I goto kill someone with a diamond sword a couple have just used /home before I could kill them. So for me its ok. Also wouldn't it cut down on lag like 0.5%?

exactly why would this cut down on lag? it's the same as before, just with a 3 second delay.
