With a server wipe possibly on the horizon, you're wondering if you're beloved crap will come in tail. Thats where this idea comes in.
There are two possible ideas:
Idea 1:
Basically, you pay a fee to have your beloved work uploaded to a schematic for an additional fee, similar to a zoning fee. Perhaps based on size or a standard fee of 3000 Gil. Towns that want to be moved could pay somewhere in the region of 5-7k gil to move their town to the new city. This would urge people to move to the cities to keep their stuff.
Idea 2:
Orcworm and the other mods compile a list of the five major cities on the current server. Those cities are to become the primary focus of the new server's city system and get primary focus.
The list of cities in order of importance:
Kumatora
Grintendo's City
Stockade
FrostSide
Gamem's City
These cities are based off no bias and are calculated with the number of residents/popularity the city has.
Update:
Perhaps if no things are moved, Orc could restrict the amount of cities and lower zoning costs. At the onset of a wipe, everyone only has 100 Gil. Nobody will be able to buy zoning and griefing will run rampant.
