As I am temporarily banned (I'm sorry yar, I didn't know I was annoying you that much)
    Spoiler:
I figured I'd head over to the forums and post this glorious screenshot.

That's right, clay. In the four glorious months I've spent here, that's the first glimpse of that block I've seen.

This new boundary needs to die. Preferably, NOW!

This lag is just plain atrocious.

Well, I hope people realize how important it is to make a NEW map rather than this clusterfuck of lag. >.>

Orc I'm sorry, I hope you don't hold it against me. I didn't know that I was bugging you as you were silent in the chat.
I'll try to be as little annoying as possible from now on.

It's certainly for the betterment of the server, demon. Also, you can make your builds even better after the update.

AFAIK, the old votes are pretty much shot. We may or may not hold another donator - poll. That'll be utilized only if absolutely necessary, as most non-staff only care for their builds or their gil.

While I agree with a new map so long as it is PVP, this statement here is...insulting, to put it kindly. You're basically saying "the people who disagree with me are just self-interested morons." No need to throw names around here.

And really, is it such a horrible thing to be attached to things that people spent dozens of hours building? Of course not. That's why people are pissed when griefers burn the whole thing down with lava or whatever. It's perfectly legitimate to feel that way.

The poll was misguided just because not everyone uses the forum or checks it frequently enough to bother participating in these things. I use the forum quite a bit and I didn't hear about the poll until people were talking about it in the actual game.

You guys do realise a new map is also brand new chunks like a border expansion?

vespassian, I'm sick and tired of your "not everyone checks the forum" argument. That's all you keep falling back on. You didn't hear about the poll until you heard people talking about it in the server because they happened concurrently. I was on the console this morning, and within two minutes of the poll going up I was one of NUMEROUS people announcing it in the server. For several hours. Take a more active part in keeping informed, because there won't always be someone online to announce news 24 Hours a day. Nobody is going to spoon-feed you. The forums are here SPECIFICALLY as a source of communication between the staff and players. If you don't keep an eye on them, it's your own damn fault.

Supersneaky update: the "new" spawn city ("New Orcshire") is more or less done and cleaned up and looking mighty sexy.

    edit: Damn ninjas!
